Epinions Osterizer - great blender

by  skyrydr,  Aug 26, 2000
Pros: Good design and well priced
Cons: Needs better base design
Review: Few items reside on my kitchen counter, but my Oster blender makes the list. It has a glass container and is well designed and easy to use and clean. I got mine for a gift and find that by having it out, I use it frequently.
This one has eight...

Epinions Oster Review

by  hsmomx3,  Jul 4, 2004
Pros: Easy to clean and use
Cons: Cannot overload with dry items. Must add a little at a time.
Review: This is very easy to use. Not a lot of fancy buttons. Since I don't have a food processor, this works just as well. It is large enough for the things I need to get ...

Epinions Good blender

by  sheri_00,  Aug 11, 2002
Pros: Great for smoothies
Cons: Does not crush ice properly when the ice is alone, have to have liquid
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for normal, light kitchen use
Review: I bought this blender when my youngest child was a baby. It is good for chopping, blending, whipping but I am not happy with the ice crushing ability. The ice cubes sit in the bottom unless you put water in and sometimes you just have to put too much...

Epinions Oster needs to modernize.

by  knoodle,  Oct 12, 2003
Pros: Low / High selector not reset with stop button.
Cons: Does not meet claims . Painfully loud.
The Bottom Line: Try a different machine. Works but does not meet advertised claims. Poor at crushing ice, below average at ordinary functions.
Review: I went to the store to pick up a blender - simple task. My daughter has broken her jaw in a car accident. This is a good reason to get a new blender, and update the ageing (Oster) one in the cupboard. We took home a modern large capacity model after looki ...

Epinions Do Not Buy If You Want To Crush Ice!!!!!

by  rusttribe,  Aug 13, 2000
Pros: Affordable price, glass jar, 14-speeds.
Cons: Does not crush ice at all!!
Review: Even though the description on the box for this product touts that the 450-Watt power is true "ice-crushing" power, any user will quickly determine that they are surely mistaken. When adding ice cubes to crush for a frozen drink, this blender...

Epinions Piece of junk

by  jdp_,  May 7, 2007
Pros: Worked well while under warranty.
Cons: Completely died two weeks after warranty expired.
Review: I bought what I thought was a good quality product. It quit about two weeks after the warranty expired....after spending 50 bucks to have the electronic controls repaired, it quit again after only one use. The cost to repair it a second time would ...
