Epinions Good compact 35mm point and shoot - not magical though

by  afhouston,  Dec 30, 2003
Pros: Solid build, small, high-quality photo system
Cons: autofocus can be unpredictable sometimes, not digital?
The Bottom Line: A high-quality point-and-shoot used by professionals that's just as accessible to the average person. The best point-and-shoot 35mm under $100
Review: I must have read 70 reviews on this camera from different photography websites recommending this camera. A friend of mine whose hobby is photography highly recommended this. I needed a camera for some time. I know digital camera's are on the market, ...

by  rivergater,  Jan 11, 2004
Pros: Excellent Lens, fast and sharp. Portable and Rugged Inexpensive for what you get.
Cons: No manual controls
The Bottom Line: Best you can do for under $100.
Review: I've own two SLRs, two digital cameras, and two point and shoot cameras but the Olympus Epic Stylus DLX has given me the best results out of them all. Its definitely not the best camera I own but it has a great lens, is durable, and is very portable. I ...

Epinions Olympus Epic QD DLX

by  robtimm,  Aug 15, 2002
Pros: Awesome glass lens, fits in pocket, long lasting battery
Cons: I can't think of any
The Bottom Line: No more bad pictures, period. It's a no brainer, although not moron proof. Read the manual, learn the flash modes.
Review: I had been taking pictures with an Olympus OM-1 since it came out in the early 80's. I wanted something that would be easier to carry around with kids in the picture. The picture quality with the glass lens is amazing. Don't listen to the whiners...

Epinions Nice BUT

by  aprest,  Jul 7, 2002
Pros: size, weight, and f/2.8 lens
Cons: Very poor reliability.
The Bottom Line: I loved the Olympus Stlus Epic Deluxe when it was working but I can't live with a camera that has demonstrated such poor reliability.
Review: I have owned over fifteen Olympus cameras (from an OM-1 SLR to a 2040 digital camera)over the last thirty years and this is the first Olympus camera to disappoint me. I bought my first Olympus Stylus Epic Deluxe about two years ago because of its size,...
