Epinions An Open Apology to Nintendo

by  maddogdenny,  Nov 21, 2006
Pros: Most fun game system I've ever played on.
Cons: Controllers might run a pretty penny.
The Bottom Line: With its innovative gameplay, affordable price, and great games, this is the system to buy if you have to go to the next generation.
Review: To whom it may concern at Nintendo, I'll admit it, I had some doubts about your system when I heard about it. But can you blame me? Your odd marketing strategy (which seemed to consist of no marketing strategy whatsoever) coupled with the fact that ...

Epinions You say you don't play video games?

by  dryerasemarker,  Feb 1, 2007
Pros: Easy for anybody to enjoy with practically no learning curve.
Cons: Some online features still need expanding. People making bad puns with the word "Wii".
The Bottom Line: Nintendo has done for video-games what Apple did for the portable-music player with its ipod. The Wii is today's Monopoly, Pictionary, and Pac-Man rolled into one!
Review: * Note: I've tried to write this for those of us non-gamers who aren't so familiar with Mario, Sonic, or Link. (If you don't know who those three are, then this review is for you!) Instead, you've heard or sampled the wii and are wondering: what can ...

Epinions Call Me Mr. Lucky

by  criteeker,  Jul 1, 2008
Pros: Video gaming with physical interaction, great graphics
Cons: System and peripherals might be hard to find for some
The Bottom Line: Fun system, inventive physical interaction while gaming
Review: Apparently, the Wii system, the Wii Fit, some games and some accessories are so hard to come by, the vultures errrrr the sellers on eBay (who charge double) are laughing all the way to their banks or Paypal accounts. Recently, I strolled into my local ...

Epinions Nintendo goes back to the core of gaming, fun.

by  flindingo,  Dec 9, 2006
Pros: Innovative controls, included games are incredibly fun, great for parties and non gamers.
Cons: No HD support (beyond 480p), probably not best for hardcore online FPS gamers.
The Bottom Line: Can't beat the price, which includes a 5 pack sports game. The fact that it reaches to non gamers is a testament alone. It rocks.
Review: I had a hard time getting the Wii due to the WiiMadness around town. It took almost 3 weeks before I got a call from my brother in law, that said 'hey are you still looking for that Nintendo thing?', I told him 'yes' and he said he was in a store that ...

Epinions Wii Ha! Reinventing Family Fun

by  jadeashlyn,  Dec 28, 2006
Pros: small, wireless, fun, interactive, affordable and just overly awesome!
Cons: only comes with one remote.
The Bottom Line: If you are considering a game machine, this is the one. Best price, best value!
Review: If you can not beat them join them is what I always figured. When the Wii first came out I did not give it much thought! I was like, oh great, another game system, what now? Geesh, they are always reinventing the same tired old machines, and charging ...

Epinions State of Wii at the end of February 2007

by  DagdaMor,  Feb 20, 2007
Pros: immersive gameplay, highly accessible, problems remedied effectively, wide arrange of games, durable controllers
Cons: lacking connecting Wii users to each other future games should correct this.
The Bottom Line: The only console that has truely made it to next generation gaming, fully immersed with the innovative Wii remote a gamer can experience games like never before.
Review: Standing out in the cold, in the Toys R' US line on Black Friday at to get one of these consoles sounds a little crazy, but as a result I have been able to see the evolution of the console from its genesis to 4 months into the Wii's existence firsthand. ...

Epinions What kind of kids eat Armor hot dogs? Wii doesn't really care

by  fistpittingnor,  Jan 30, 2007
Pros: Virtual Console, Adaptivity, Innovative console gameplay
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: A must for the nostalgia gamer, people of all ages due to wide variety of games (that will soon be available, including VC games), and for the exercise!
Review: Big kids, little kids, kids who climb on rocks. Fat kids, skinny kids, even kids with chicken pox. Basically, people from all ages love Wii. First off, I'm not going to compare the Wii to Xbox 360 and Ps3, it's just not in the same category, it's ...

Epinions I love my Wii

by  misskris28,  Feb 27, 2008
Pros: Hours of entertainment, decent price if you can find one in a store
Cons: Goofy graphics, not much memory
The Bottom Line: I love this thing and don't know why it took me so long to buy one. It's fun to play alone or with friends.
Review: I decided it was time to buy a Wii after a family member who'd been around since the Atari days said it was, "The funnest game system we've ever had." I was a post-Atari era kid, but I have owned (in order of purchase): a Nintendo, the original ...

Epinions playing with my wii a year stragiht still haven't gone blind.

by  tommy_lop,  Nov 19, 2007
Pros: unique motion controls, the VC, Mario of course
Cons: lack of hard drive, weather channel.
The Bottom Line: I guess the Clinton Admistration was wrong.
Review: I remember the day I got my Wii a year ago I went up to the counter at 12 o clock on launch day and picked it up. The thing was it wasn’t 12 o clock midnight but 12 o clock noon, and my local wal mart still had a couple more in stock. I remember ...

Epinions The Nintendo Wii: A Console for the Rest of Us!

by  spdorsey,  Feb 14, 2007
Pros: Simple, inexpensive, clean, and very fun. Well worth the cost.
Cons: No high-definition support, but you'll forget about that immediately.
The Bottom Line: this is the best console I've owned, and I've owned a lot of them. I'd recommend it for the whole family.
Review: I must say that I was worried when I first heard that Nintendo was going to issue a console that didn't feature high-definition support, and that used a gesture-based controller. Now that I have played one, I can see that this is (hopefully) the new ...
