Epinions Mario's Back!

by  maddogdenny,  May 8, 2007
Pros: Great platforming, and a little RPG'ing, addictive.
Cons: Enough with the story already!
The Bottom Line: Until Super Mario Galaxy comes out, this is the platformer to own. Buy it. You shan't regret it. What the hey? I'll bump it to a five.
Review: So, I'm watching the gaming news a couple months back, and I see that Super Mario Galaxy is supposed to come out in March. Great. Fantastic. Though I was disappointed in Super Mario Sunshine, I held out high hopes for Galaxy. Alas, the date has been ...

Epinions You Won't mind Spending your Paper for this!

by  anastacya,  Jun 26, 2007
Pros: Fun, hysterical storytelling, funny characters, and a good story
Cons: Some touchy controls that may not always detect, but this is a minor point
The Bottom Line: Pick up this title for a fun gaming night with the whole family.
Review: I love platformers. Not as much as I love RPG games, but they definitely rank a close second. Recently, I was craving a good, old fashioned, cartoony platform title. Having bought a Wii system this past November, I decided to actually invest in ...

Epinions A must have for all Wii owners

by  reviewerrob,  May 5, 2007
Pros: Long story mode, a lot of replay value
Cons: All the text gets annoying sometimes.
The Bottom Line: A great roleplaying game that is fun for any age. Lots of replay value makes this a long game. Any Mario or Paper Mario fan should enjoy this as well.
Review: Super Paper Mario is a unique platform and roleplaying mix, which is the first Mario game for the Wii. It combines classic platforming elements from the original Mario series, plus roleplaying aspects from the Paper Mario series. You play as Mario, ...

Epinions Unique game!

by  jk24,  Feb 9, 2008
Pros: Fun game, unique gameplay mechanic. Mario!
Cons: The game is a little on the short side (approximately 20-25 hours).
The Bottom Line: Playing as different characters, and the puzzle element of using Pixls, makes for a well-rounded experience. Mario at his usual best!
Review: Super Paper Mario for the Nintendo Wii provides an unique, light-hearted gaming experience. Anyone familiar with the Mario story (which has been ongoing now for over 2 decades—a testament to its staying power) will instantly find something to like about ...

Epinions 'Mario Gone Wild'

by  dimeuhday,  May 7, 2007
Pros: Replay value, the use of flipping, old school feel
Cons: Some areas are nearly impossible unless you have a guide.
The Bottom Line: A great family fun game with tons of re-play valule. The best Wii game available.
Review: I was so hyped on Super Paper Mario for the Nintendo wii. I mean I had a countdown. Sadly though I didn’t put in a deposit for a pre-sale. However with some good use of words, and a little manipulation, I got my copy the day of release. YIPPIE!!!! So ...

Epinions Super Paper Mario - Old School Classic for the Wii generation

by  desslok,  May 31, 2007
Pros: Looks great, plays great, sounds great.
Cons: Pacing can be slow, more text than the Iliad and the Odyssey put together.
The Bottom Line: In the world of Halos and Grand Theft Autos, it’s nice to see that it doesn't take three years and a 35 million dollar budget to produce an awesome game.
Review: Oh, little Jumpman - how far you have come from your humble ape hunting days. I remember you when you were just a wee (wii?) little 8-bit red and blue sprite that could barely swing a hammer. Since then you've been a boxing referee, a plumber, a big game ...

Epinions a little old school, a little bit of new school, odd taste but good

by  tommy_lop,  Jun 8, 2007
Pros: old school platforming meets new Mario RPG elements
Cons: a little bit to easy, charecters won't shut up.
The Bottom Line: Super Postal Mario: when NPC won't shut up.
Review: After a 15 year drought of the 2d platforming game play that made Nintendo’s pasta loving plumber a household name, Nintendo is finally giving Nintendo fans they want more 2d jumping action from Mario. The first was New Super Mario Bros for the DS ...

Epinions Paper Mario - Welcome Back Mario, Luigi, Princess and others

by  realist22,  Aug 4, 2007
Pros: Fun, intuitive, for all ages, nunchuck not required
Cons: Audio that accompanies extensive in-game scrolling text
The Bottom Line: I would recommend Super Paper Mario to Mario fans of any age. It provides for fun and unique linear game play.
Review: After falling in love with the Wii at a friends house, I made up my mind to purchase a console of my own. I was very excited when Super Paper Mario came out, because I'm not much for first person shooters, and I had already enjoyed the Wii Sports that ...

Epinions Mario is still kicking butt and is funnier than ever

by  mme6342,  Mar 6, 2008
Pros: Intuitive, 'old-school' fun
Cons: There is a LOT of reading to do throughout the game (lots of dialogue)
The Bottom Line: This game is a truly good, old-fashioned-friendly, fun game
Review: In all honesty I have been out of the video gaming world after Sega Genesis. I just lost the appeal to play games I basically felt I needed to study the instruction manual and controls for. That all changed when the Nintendo Wii came out with its new ...

Epinions Maybe not Super, but worth playing

by  hootolou,  Mar 8, 2008
Pros: A really enjoyable game, a fresh twist on a classic.
Cons: Too much unnecessary talking (pressing A for ten hours)
The Bottom Line: A good game, but not as "Super" as I'd hoped
Review: I have been a fan of Paper Mario since day one, so I was very excited to receive this game for my birthday two weeks ago. I was really excited to play it, and I was disappointed to turn it on and have to go through half an hour of dialogue before I even ...
