Super Mario Strikers

Super Mario Strikers is a soccer game for the Gamecube.
There are a few ways you can play one is the Grudge Match where you pick a captain, a sidekick and the stadium and you play against someone or you play against the computer.

There are 8 characters to pick from to be you captain: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Wario, Waluigi and Donkey Kong.
The sidekicks are: Toad, Hammer Bros, Birdo or Koopa.
Stadiums are The Palace, Pipeline Central, and The Underground.

Cup Battles: You play matches in a league tournament. The one with the most points at the end wins. You start off with just the mushroom cup and others can be unlocked.

Flower Cup: is unlocked when you place in the top 3 in the mushroom cup.
Star Cup: is unlocked when you place in the top 3 of the Flower cup.
Bowser Cup: is unlocked if you place first in a 3 cups (mushroom, flower and Star).

GAME SETTINGS:

Each game you set up the setting. You can pick from 4 different skill levels: Rookie, Professional, superstar, or Legend.
Match Times: There are 6 to choose from 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 10:00, or 15:00 minutes.
Power ups: You can enable or disable power up usage in the game. The power ups are:

THE GREEN SHELL: which knocks your opponents
THE RED SHELL: will chase you and knock your opponent.
THE BLUE SHELL: will freeze your opponent
SPINY SHELL: will bounce around the field and knock anything in its path.
BANANA: drop it to make your opponent slip.
BOB-OMB: will make your opponent blast across the screen.
CHAIN CHOMP: set it free and it will disable your opponent's entire team.
MUSHROOM: provides a limited burst of super speed
STAR: you become invincible for a short time. Any opponent who touches you will be knocked aside.

Super Strikes: Each character has a super Strike kick:
Mario has the Fire Strike.
Luigi has the Vicious Vortex.
Peach has the Royal Strike.
Daisy has the Torpedo Strike.
Yoshi has the Foot Of Fury.
Wario has the Belly Blast.
Waluigi has the Drop Rocket
Donkey Kong has the Power Fist Strike.

In the game you play as the captain, but if there is a player on your team closer to the ball you hit the A button and you can be another player on your team. You can have a friend play with you on your team, but you can only pick one captain and the other one would be the sidekick.

You can also set up custom battles or practice how to use the controls in Strikers 101.

Option mode you can change the audio, visual and game play options.

The graphics in the game are awesome. The characters are funny. After a play scores a goal or wins the game they cheer and do a dance. For instance when Wario wins he comes and dances and shakes his butt. The kids get such a kick out of it.

The game to me is boring its like you do the same thing over and over. For the kids it's entertaining and fun. I think they needed mini games or something you can play. The game is pretty easy to play once you learn all the moves. Once you learn the moves it's so easy to beat the computer it's not really challenging.

This one I think is for the kids. I was disappointed in this one.
