Epinions Meteos: Block Blastoff

by  kjell1979, top reviewer in Games ,  Oct 7, 2006
Pros: good puzzle dynamics, addictive, good control scheme, high replay value
Cons: some block graphics are hard to see, tough learning curve, no online play
The Bottom Line: This could be the best game on the Nintendo DS.
Review: Not since the original Gameboy had I made a puzzle game my first game system purchase. And with the Gameboy it was unintentional since Tetris was bundled with the system. Not to say I'm complaining in either case; both games were fantastic. However, with ...

Epinions Launch Time

by  onionhead2001,  Jul 23, 2006
Pros: Fresh concept, excellent use of the stylus, top-notch presentation, and packed with replay value
Cons: The lazy omission of online play
The Bottom Line: Meteos is a wonderfully unique addition to the otherwise stale pantheon of puzzle games. Don't be surprised if it takes up nearly-permanent residence in your DS.
Review: As a late adopter of the Nintendo DS, I figured I missed the boat to review this game. Shockingly, this is only the second review of this spectacular game. I can only imagine that other Meteos owners are simply too busy playing to write about it, ...

Epinions Meteos Rockets into Top Contention in the Puzzler Catagory

by  padgham,  Jul 21, 2006
Pros: Fresh Puzzle experience, great audio clips and visuals, countless unlockables
Cons: Can be extrordinarily difficult without reason, hand cramps from stylus use, the "scribble-cheat"
The Bottom Line: Meteos is THE puzzle game to buy for any handheld right now. Innovative gameplay mixes with a pick up and play style to create a gem in the DS library.
Review: Every handheld needs a memorable puzzler, and the DS is no exception. The question these days is: Which of many puzzlers is the king of them all? Most would agree that Q? Entertainment's 'Meteos' takes the prize. Not quite the Rave party of the PSP's ...

by  bob7k,  Mar 21, 2007
Pros: Single-Pack multiplayer. tons of unlocks and replay value
Cons: lack of online play.
The Bottom Line: Fun, and litterally addictive DS game. Great gift to any DS owner, and it realy shows off the touch screen and audio power of the DS
Review: Ive played this game off of a friends DS, got so addicted, i let him borrow my PS2 while i borrowed his DS. Once you get it home, pop it in, theres a setting called tutorial which plays a video for people who dont know how to play, and dont want to read ...

Epinions Seeing Stars? Blocks more like…

by  ianfree,  Nov 18, 2006
Pros: Great fun and lasts ages, better than the old classic that is Tetris.
Cons: Sore eyes and hands after long sessions.
The Bottom Line: Meteos is a great game, fast and frantic or slow and relaxing depending on your mood, one of the best puzzle games ever made.
Review: As soon as you turn Meteos on, it becomes apparent that it is no ordinary puzzle game. For starters, it has a plot, which tells you in no uncertain terms – “If Meteos stack too high, the world ends!” Don’t expect it to be made into a Hollywood ...
