Epinions Nintendo DS Lite - Comprehensive Review

by  t13monkeys,  Jan 9, 2008
Pros: better lcd screens, long batter life, sexy design, excellent games library
Cons: broken hinge, d-pad smaller, harder to hold
The Bottom Line: The DS Lite is an amazing handheld and possibly the best handheld ever next to the original Game Boy. Get it.
Review: The DS has been essential to Nintendo’s success along with the Wii, and if you haven’t kept up, Nintendo’s market value in October 2007 was a mind-boggling $85 billion dollars. For a company that mainly relies on two products for virtually ...

Epinions ~~ NINTENDO DS LITE VS. XBOX 360 ~~

by  kbolton72,  Nov 20, 2006
Pros: Lightweight, modern, updated, fun
Cons: Too much like the old one, just updated features.
The Bottom Line: This is a great update, but not an entirely different system. If you are bored with the old one, this may refresh your faith in DS! Great wireless toy!
Review: I am lucky that I still have at least one more holiday year before the whole sky falls on me and the The Real Santa Vs. No Such Thing As Santa is exposed for good. I still get to have the thrill of magic in my home, so I am still like a kid in the candy ...

Epinions The Nintendo DS Lite: - Touch Me and Rub Me! Baby Lite My Fire!

by  jeremy1456, top reviewer in Games ,  Jul 3, 2006
Pros: Brilliantly Lit Screens, Great Line-up of Games, Compelling Software on the Way, Dual Screen Setup
Cons: Lame Friend Codes Online Interface, Speakers are not Loud Enough
The Bottom Line: There's No Reason to Wait Anymore; The DS Lite Is Completely Worth It.
Review: How the DS Lite Came to Be... When the orignal Nintendo DS launched in 2004 it was met with more than a little skepticism. This was mainly due to the unorthodox features of the little handheld; it featured two screens, one of them being a touch ...

Epinions No honey, I'm suppose to rub it up and down like that.

by  StarSoldier1, top reviewer in Games ,  Jul 12, 2006
Pros: A smaller version of a great portable system.
Cons: Speakers are not the best, it is worth more money then the older one.
The Bottom Line: If your job or school sucks then maybe a new DS will spice things up?
Review: NINTENDO DS LITE (June, 2006) The Nintendo Dual Screen (or DS) Lite is the second version of their portable console originally introduced in 2004. The system is not only smaller and more sleek then the older model now but it even comes with a ...

Epinions NINTENDO DS LITE - Gowan, touch it. You know you want to!

by  desslok,  Mar 3, 2008
Pros: The DS is easy to hold, has long battery life and tons of good games!
Cons: Button placement could have been better.
The Bottom Line: A innovative console with tons of solid games from a proven giant of the gaming industry. You'd be crazy not to own one.
Review: You know, I feel a little bit bad with the release of the Nintendo DS. The release of the DS is pretty much the effective final nail in the coffin of the Gameboy. While Nintendo says that the GBA is in fact not a dead system, the pure economy of the ...

Epinions Moms really do play the DS Lite

by  packerpatriot,  Aug 6, 2007
Pros: Touchscreen, Pick up & Play, Game Library, Graphics, Battery Life, Wireless, Price
Cons: Durability if it gets dropped so probably not for the very youngest gamers
The Bottom Line: I'd buy another one in a heartbeat (and I have)! I just purchased one for my 29 yr old sister with cancer for those long chemo appointments.
Review: Disclaimer: I'm a 36 yr old mom who bought my own DS after buying one for my then 7 yr old son. Having started with the Nintendo Gamecube and then the Sony Playstation II at 4 years of age, it was only a matter of time before my son had his heart ...

Pros: +brighter +new design +many good titles +backwards capability for gba game +wi-fi
Cons: -can't play old gameboy games -may be too different for some people
The Bottom Line: The DS offers many great titles. The touch screen innovates gameplay. The wi-fi takes it up a notch allowing you to play with other DS owners.
Review: Graphics: 8 The graphics the DS delivers are decent, but nothing that will blow your mind away. Some of the 2-D games are well done on this system, like Castlevania, Yoshi's Touch and Go, Advance Wars Duel Strike, Sonic Rush and etc. The 2-D games ...
