Epinions Nikon Produces Another Technical Masterpiece!

by  colonialpara, top reviewer in Electronics ,  Jul 12, 2003
Pros: Outstanding Features, Lighter than the F5, excellent metering and AF systems
Cons: It's not the F5. Other than that, NONE!
The Bottom Line: An exceptional camera with a large selection of features that will please just about anyone. If you don't need the capability of the F5, YOU MUST CHOOSE the F100!
Review: This is another of the exceptionally well designed and thought out cameras provided to photographers by Nikon. It is a very capable camera that takes advantage of Nikon's years of experience, exceptional quality lenses, the world famous "F" lens mount ...

Epinions The F100--Better than N90s, As Close As F5

by  paulphoto, top reviewer in Electronics ,  May 14, 2002
Pros: Light yet rugged and robust, loads of features for serious amateurs & pros
Cons: After 2 yrs, I'm still trying to find a good one, worthy for mention.
The Bottom Line: If you want a camera that is loaded with useful features, those that let you grow photographically and creatively, the F100 is the one.
Review: **First Impression on Features, Handling and Operations**
The Nikon F100 is an incredible camera! It is rugged, but light (about the same in weight as the N90s, yet thinner). It’s very comfortable to hold, much better than the N90s, in terms of...

Epinions The F100--Nikon's Newest "PRO" SLR

by  Howard_Creech, lead in Electronics ,  Oct 6, 1999
Pros: Fast accurate Auto Focus, Compact size, Professional Quality
Cons: None at all
The Bottom Line: The Nikon F100 is a "pro" SLR in every respect
Review: Pro and serious amateur photographers like to call the F100 the F5 “lite” or the “Baby” F5 but I think the F100 is a solid camera in its own right. The F100 was designed as a professional l camera with a truckload of features packed into...

Epinions Pay No Mind to 28471's Review on this product!

by  tennis_player,  Jan 28, 2000
Pros: The camera is fine
Cons: The reviewer is way off-base
Review: 28471's review is really a strange one! He/she buys an expensive camera and then blames the manufacturer for charging so much for it but confirms that it works well and produces fine results.

He/she blames Nikon for building a fine optical...

Epinions Is Newer Necessarily Better?

by  ehwang,  May 17, 2000
Pros: Evolutionary camera in a long line of great Nikon bodies
Cons: It still can't read my mind yet!
Review: Well, what can say about the F100 that hasn't already been said in numerous other opinions? Having owned Nikon equipment since 1978, I guess my perspective is that of a professional who has upgraded his Nikon equipment over the years and seen the...

Epinions You Can't Go Wrong with NIKON

by  mom2ericha,  Feb 10, 2000
Pros: Nikon is the best; Superb Quality photos
Cons: high pricetag
Review: This camera is predominantly for the professional. The pricetag is high, but the camera is of superb quality. The up and rising novice may want to think about investing in this camera. It is well worth the money spent.
The Nikon F100 has autofocus...

Epinions Excellent choice for an amateur photographer

by  jiyangchen,  Dec 19, 2003
Pros: Responsive, control placement, features, metering
Cons: Autofocus loses subject at times, metering not good in extreme light conditions
The Bottom Line: Great camera if you are serious in getting into photography. Make it a habit to use a tripod as much as you can to get the sharpest photo.
Review: I purchased the Nikon F100 after I improved greatly in photography. My first SLR camera was a Minolta XTsi with two lenses. They were slow to focus and sometimes I had trouble getting the shots that I wanted. The viewfinder was dark, and the camera ...

Epinions F100 or N80 - N90?

by  pmcquown,  Apr 11, 2001
Pros: Features, Speed of unit, Balance of unit.
Cons: No mirror lockup. Could be $200 less.
The Bottom Line: Quick, easy to use, well balanced and has 98% of the features you will ever need for under $1200! This camera rocks!
Review: There a lot of recommendations on the F100, so I’ll try not to focus too much on what other people have said. Instead, I’ll discuss the camera and bring in some of the similarities and differences between the F100 and the N80, N90.

Before my...

Epinions Excellent Professional Camera

by  zedorzee,  Jun 17, 2002
Pros: Very study, relatively quiet, competitive feature set, an excellent auto-focus system, and feature customization.
Cons: Not as configurable as the F5
The Bottom Line: My recommendation is to buy it -- it's a rugged, dependable, feature rich camera.
Review: The Nikon F100 is, without doubt, a professional level camera. It's ruggedly built, not too heavy, well sized, and very reliable. It's certainly a much closer relative to the F5 than the N90s/F90x, and is comparable to the EOS 3 in the Canon line-up....
