Epinions Nikon D40X Digital SLR Camera

by  egalpin81,  Nov 9, 2007
Pros: Easy to use, extremely long battery life, excellent picture quality
Cons: High cost, comes with basic lens, larger lenses also quite expensive
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this camera to anyone who loves taking pictures because it has the quality of one of those very expensive professional cameras at a fraction of the cost.
Review: I received this camera as an anniversary present and it turned out to be the best gift I've ever received!! I can't imagine using any other brand of camera ever again. The picture quality is unbelievable! Every picture I've taken looks professional. I ...

Epinions "Waiting for photo"

by  BillBehrendt,  Dec 1, 2007
Pros: easy use, point and shoot, great user interface
Cons: 6.1 megapixels
The Bottom Line: Perfect for the amateur as well as the budding professional.
Review: I only wanted a camera like this for 30 years. Yes, it was worth the wait. And it is worth its weight -- in gold! I've had dozens of cameras, both film and digital. This is the first SLR (Single Lens Reflex) system I've owned. I figured it was high ...

Epinions Nikon D40 - Digital Power for the Masses

by  rhesseling,  Jan 17, 2008
Pros: Easy to use. In camera editing. Manual and Auto settings- excellent
Cons: No in camera cropping option for images. This must be done through another program.
The Bottom Line: The Nikon D40 is an excellent digital SLR camera choice for individuals who wish to experiment with their photography without draining their wallets.
Review: I love photography and certainly could be called a 'weekend amateur photographer. I've never taken any classes, but have read some books. I wanted a digital camera that was budget conscious, but not short on features. I chose the Nikon D40. Nikon ...

Epinions A Great Mid Level SLR Camera

by  zerotsm,  Mar 26, 2008
Pros: Fast turn on and low shutter lag
Cons: More features could have been included in the supplied software.
The Bottom Line: An excellent camera at the $1000 price point. Recommended to anyone who wants to get into digital SLR photography.
Review: I bought the Nikon D80 SLR camera to replace my 10 year old Agfa 1280. I chose Nikon because I could use the lenses from my Nikon F3 film camera in manual mode since they share the same F mount. Overall I'm very pleased with this camera. The first thing ...

Epinions Mmm... I love my D80

by  3rdpower,  Oct 19, 2006
Pros: Handling - SUPERB Button Layout - much better then D50 Viewfinder - AWESOME!
Cons: some over exposure
The Bottom Line: Excellent all around camera with great ability to produce solid images. Highly recommended over Canon sub $1000 units (400 and 350 XTi).
Review: This is a great unit. I absolutely love my D80. I moved from D50 which I scooped up a few months ago as the D50 were starting to appear refurbished. The D50 was my first experience into DSLRs and I learned quite a bit. By the 6 month I was ready to ...

Epinions HP Photosmart 2575

by  parachris,  Jul 7, 2006
Pros: A compact affordable all-in-one. Excellent reproductions, at an impressive speed.
Cons: If being purely used for photo printing, an expensive drain on ink.
The Bottom Line: An exceptional product, at an affordable price, compact in size and produces excellent quality prints at a good speed, giving a home a superb enhancement to its printing capabilities
Review: I bought this product as an upgrade from a basic printer model. Looking for the ability to print/scan/copy, this printer gave me an excellent brand name, with affordable features. Being a comparative novice, I was somewhat nervous about installing such ...

Epinions Accessorize for less!

by  junlei_dance,  Nov 17, 2006
Pros: super usable, feels pro, and inexpensive accessories
Cons: haven't found any! ... can't take shots thru LCD, viewfinder only.
The Bottom Line: for less than $1,400 an amateur can feel like a pro ... what's more to say?
Review: I love my D80. I am a digital camera buff. Not a true photographer, but very picky about the camera's usability. I have used Nikon Coolpix 4500 (4.2M), Minolta Dimage A2 (8M), and a number of other olympus, samsung, sony point-n-click ones. This is ...

Epinions Best Bluetooth Headset - so far

by  motomille,  Sep 30, 2006
Pros: Best "technology", clear signal, noise isolating microphone
Cons: Call button sticks out. Foam earbuds. Silver (personal preference)
The Bottom Line: If you want the party on the other line to hear you.. go with this headset. If you want to hear them better go with the Jabra.
Review: So... I'm comparing this to only a couple bluetooth devices I've tried... the Jabra BT250v and the Jabra BT150 (don't bother). Anyhow - I used the BT250v for a while and really liked it but it seemed the people on the other line sometimes asked me to ...

Epinions Like it? I love it!

by  manzout,  Feb 19, 2007
Pros: Ease of use, great quality, sharp pictures, nice help menu, price.
Cons: Only 3 focusing points.
Review: The D40 is one of the lowest priced SLRs on the market. Nikon didn't cut a lot of corners to keep the price down, either -- this is a very capable camera. It has a 6 Megapixel CCD, a large and sharp 2.5" LCD display, full manual controls, an elaborate ...

Epinions Point, Shoot, Beautiful

by  rhexiam,  Oct 8, 2008
Pros: Easy to understand and use
Photo editing on the camera
Timer
Auto and Manual Focus
Cons: No live screen like most digital cameras.
Zoom lens is mildly obnoxious.
Review: I have had many cameras before but the Nikon D40 is most certainly my favorite by far. It's user friendly technology makes it easy for a beginning photographer or a technology-slow person to be able to make an extraordinary image with little effort. ...
