D40 is a Breeze

I bought my camera as a set with a 55 -200mm lens as well as the 18-55mm lens. I have used SLR camera before and digital as well. Having one that is both is icing on the cake.
I took it with us on vacation and it made taking the 1200 pictures that I took a breeze. I love it. It is light weight which makes it easy to carry if you are walking long distances. The picture quality is nice also. I talked to several technical people before I purchased this set. Each one said about the same thing that this camera was good for someone at my skill level. I have printed sizes from 8x10 to wallet size and was very satisfied with them.
Being able to have the flexibility of high speed plus being able to delete those bad shots is one of its best features. I like being able to take some many shots in a short time and with my small children who are on the go all the time this is a wonderful advantage. I also like the ease with which I can change lens. The auto focus is a wonderful feature for those of us who are amateurs but who also love to take pictures. I never leave home without it.
