Not much educational value but fun play with ponies

I found this My little Pony Friendship Gardens CD-ROM at my local Dollar Tree store. How could I pass this up since it was only $1.00. The CD states it is for kids three years old and up. It is by Hasbro Interactive. The My Little Pony CD-ROM allows you to create and play with your very own pony. He or she will become a magical friend that needs to be specially cared for. For reason it does teach children care and respect values of other beings other themselves. I guess if you were going to give your child a pet this would give them a bit of an idea of how one needs to be cared for.

Just like a real pet, your colorful pony must be well fed, walked and properly groomed. It is up to you to make sure she is well-rested and takes her naps as needed. Maybe that will help your child learn that napping and sleeping at night is important. See Susie look how your little pony is crabby? She doesn't feel well and is getting made easily because she didn't get enough sleep. Now go take your nap and then you'll be a happy girl again.

Ponyland is full of fun and adventure that will delight young girls(I assume most boys would not be interested in this bubble-gum sweet game but I could be wrong, Not gender biased here). There is a house, dance studio(what pony doesn't need dance lessons?) and stable for your pony. When your pony is all happy after you've chosen the best colors, including it's main and tail, you can take her picture. This can printed out.

With it's lack of any real educational value I do still have to admit it is a cute little game that will be enjoyed. Pretend fun and play is a good thing too. And for $1.00 how could I go wrong. I would even say it's worth at least $5.00
