Fantastic GPS

I am a person who with a map can find their way anywhere. I am usually the person who gives directions to anyone who is lost. This past Christmas I was given this GPS as a gift and I want to tell you that I am very impressive with this technology.I know all the shotcuts in my area, so sometimes we do not agree on the best route,but if you follow the directions,I promise you that you will get to your destination. The key is that when you begin your destination that you correctly enter the address. The diections are very simple if you input the right information as it asks for.
It has three different settings to route you; fastest,shortest and most economical, it will route you differently according to which one of these that you choose. I have tried to confuss it, but it always get you to your destination. I just got back from a trip to Los Angeles and San Francisco and when I rented a car I used it. I am here to tell you that even in other states it gets you to your destination. I am impressed with it and I am the person who said that I did not need GPS. It has guided me to many places that I have never been and accurately.
Here are some of the things you need to do:
Calibrate the screen on the firsy use(Easy),
Set the time zone and time you are located in.
Setup your home location
Setup your work location.
Some of the features are once you setup home and work you just touch the screen and it will give you directions and route from where you are now. It has history button and remembers each address that you prgram into it and remembers the places you have been for futire use. It has pre-set points of interests, depending on your location you can also add your own, it even gives you points of interest in other states and cities. It also has voice as well as written directions. The maps are already built in and occassionly they release new updates, which you have to purchase. I believe I mentioned that everything is touch screen. It comes with car charger and has day and night settings for your eyes. If you miss a turn it will re-calculate your route and get you back in the right direction. It is very light and easy to move from vehicle to vehicle or carry with you on trips. If you can follow simple instructions then you can use this. It does have a color display. It is the best Christmas present that I can remember in years, other than Jesus.
I just got back from Florida this weekend July 29, 2008 and I experimented with this GPS along the way. For the price of $200.00, it is fantastic, every single time I would deliberately get off track, it brought me back to the destination route. Yes go ahead and pay much more than this, but you will be hard pressed to find a more accurate GPS. This GPS does not tell you how to get around traffice or construction, but most of those you not only have to purchase the GPS, but a subscription to a service as well. I am very satisfied with this one and there is no monthly fees as it uses government satelites already in space.
