Epinions Mighty Minolta

by  pirate969,  Dec 25, 2001
Pros: Very durable, waterproof, & good picture quality.
Cons: no mid roll film change options, limited zoom.
The Bottom Line: This is a true take anywhere camera that will last years and years, just needs a better zoom.
Review: This camera is tough, I've taking it surfing(actually w/me in the water on my board), snowboarding, snorkeling, and to the Glamis dunes. This camera has never failed me once in the 4 + years I've had it. Although I do wish there was version of this...

Epinions Sea and Sea? Forget it!

by  oneseagoer,  Oct 14, 2004
Pros: Easy to use, auto focus is awesome! Compact, fits in your pocket.
Cons: Remembering where the focus lines are underwater. Once you do that, you are set!
Review: This camera takes awesome underwater and above water pictures! It beats Sea and Sea all the way. With 7 rolls of film taken while diving in Bonaire, we had over 100 pictures to brag about! It can go much deeper than 10m. I accidentally took it to ...

Pros: easy to load and operate, good quality photos
Cons: Limited creativity
The Bottom Line: Nice all around general use camera with the added benefit of going out in any weather or under water
Review: I originally bought the weathermatic for my wife, after a day at the Jersey shore. A few grains of sand got into her old camera ruining it.
I thought if this camera is waterproof, no way can sand get inside. That was about 5 years ago. The camera...

Epinions The Fish That Got Away!

by  whalewatcher,  Apr 11, 2001
Pros: Rugged, all weather camera, water resistant to a depth of 33 ft.
Cons: Takes poor underwater pictures!!
The Bottom Line: Don't purchase this camera for underwater photography as you'll be disappointed. This is a good outdoor, water resistant camera which doesn't need to be pampered. But that's all!
Review: With our impending trip to Australia and The Great Barrier Reef, my one Christmas wish last year was a decent camera for underwater pictures. Having taken plenty of pictures with disposable underwater cameras in the past, I wasn't too keen to repeat the...

Pros: good reputation for the non-APS version, nice pictures
Cons: unreliable, not enough range on the zoom lens.
Review: We were aboard a day cruiser in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with open bar, snorkeling gear, and a mini-adventure on land planned.

I had my brand new Minolta Weathermatic camera and two spare rolls of APS film ready for action. There...
