Pros:
Free after rebate, encompassing, great for budget, easy to use
Cons:
Connectivity to online institutions is complex and lacking, you have to register with Passport
The Bottom Line:
Don't buy it if you want your financial data to be pulled from all your financial institutions.

I have just bought Money 2002 standard, after all it's free after rebate and I have read great reviews from almost every online resource.
Well, let me burst the bubble. If you are looking for SW that will help you manage your finances Money 2002 is great. If you are looking for SW that will extract the information from all your financial institutions - FORGET IT!!!
The saga started yesterday and I am still not done, now I know that with some of my financial institutions I will never be.
So here goes:
Chase - not supported by Money 2002, the work around is to create the account in MSN Money website and use the synchronization mechanism. Believe me it not worth the hassle - it does not work smoothly
Wells Fargo - charges 3 dollars a month to have your money 2002 download data. The work around again is to setup your Wells Fargo account on the MSN Money website. Again - this is more work than help.
TD Waterhouse and Money 2002 don't get along, Money 2002 cannot parse all the fields TD Waterhouse uses. For example you have to fill in the cash manually. If you are using MSN Money Portfolio manager it's even worse - it will create an additional portfolio no matter what you do.
Fidelity 401(k) - Forget it, does not work with Money 2002, no work around this time, you can setup the account in your MSN Money website but it will not synchronize correctly to Money 2002
The Synchronization with MSN Money website is a puzzle that I guess my Physics degree and 7 years in the SW industry cannot overcome.
The bottom line, I got the SW to be able to manage my finances without providing manual data from my financial institutes - it does not work. Don't buy it, even if it's for free. I am sticking to www.yodlee.com
I have a feeling that microsoft is giving it for free to create more registered Passport users.
