by  kdawgud,  May 31, 2002
Pros: Great reporting options, online statement downloads, good user interface, very inexpensive
Cons: Need MS passport for online downloads
The Bottom Line: If you need a program to do your financial busy work - simply and effectively, then Money 2002 is your dream come true.
Review: Ever wondered how all your money was being spent? I used to have this problem, but now Microsoft Money 2002 tells me exactly where it went!

Epinions Money is a good program

by  gocowboys,  Sep 22, 2002
Pros: Details and categories for each transaction, easy "transfers" from one account to another
Cons: Can't change a withdrawal to a deposit (if recorded by mistake)
The Bottom Line: I really like Microsoft Money. It's easy to use and makes keeping track of your finances much easier.
Review: I have used Money and Quicken. I prefer Money. I have stopped using a paper register with my checkbook. Instead, I keep all receipts and a record of checks written, and then record them in Money when I get home.

Advantages:

1. You...

Epinions Show Me The Money $$ - Financial Software That Updates While You Sleep

by  xyzwyatt,  Dec 3, 2001
Pros: Easy to Use; Saves Time; Very detailed; Download/Upload banking & investing
Cons: Some limits with tax filing and investments. Windows users only.
The Bottom Line: Great management tool incorporating banking, bills, goals, assets, investing, and more all in one location for a very small price.
Review: Oh yes, my New Year resolution is to become independently wealthy. I thought I would take this year to straighten out my finances to make sure I have enough money to pay the taxes on my big lottery win whenever that may be.

Making the...

Epinions No more late bills!

by  rfman,  Dec 4, 2001
Pros: Inexpensive, works with PocketPCs, easy to set-up
Cons: Limited functions in Standard version, Canadian version not impressive, where's my rebate?
The Bottom Line: I works quite well. I was disappointed that the Canadian version is not fully adapted though. You may want to consider the Deluxe version.
Review: I openly admit it; I’m organizationally deficient. I have paperwork strewn all over and around my desk, not to mention what in my briefcase and file folder. It’s no wonder that bills always tend to re-surface two or three days before they’re due....

Epinions I am returning it although it's free

by  mevakerhamdina,  Feb 13, 2002
Pros: Free after rebate, encompassing, great for budget, easy to use
Cons: Connectivity to online institutions is complex and lacking, you have to register with Passport
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it if you want your financial data to be pulled from all your financial institutions.
Review: I have just bought Money 2002 standard, after all it's free after rebate and I have read great reviews from almost every online resource.

Well, let me burst the bubble. If you are looking for SW that will help you manage your finances Money...

Epinions No to 2002

by  sbotes,  Mar 4, 2002
Pros: Nice user interface and reporting improvements
Cons: BIG ONE - Bill payment is done one at a time. Huge waste of time.
The Bottom Line: Don't buy because of the new restriction that requires bills to be submitted one at a time. I understand that MS has received numerous complaints about this.
Review: I have been a Microsoft Money user for several years and have always enjoyed the product. However, 2002 is not an update I would recommend. The biggest problem is that you no longer batch over bill payments. They now are transferred each time you record...

by  nwerle,  May 13, 2005
Pros: pretty screens
Cons: crashes, can not get support
The Bottom Line: do not buy
Review: money crashes. This is the standard version. I can imagine how often the deluxe version with more bells and whistles crashes. You can not get support becasue it is an OEM version but DELL does not know what to do about a crash in this software. They ...
