Epinions Give Rising Sun a Rising chance!

by  eddielancekick,  Feb 23, 2006
Pros: Diverse cinematic landscapes, challenging missions, Overall fun WWII game.
Cons: Needs a couple more missions to make duration of game longer.
The Bottom Line: You want an authentic WWII game about the Pacific Theater? This is it! Scary jungles and hostile enemy forces will test your skill.
Review: Many Xboxers, and gamers in general, seem to distance themselves from this one. I for one enjoy it for what it is, and not what it is not. Rising sun is a WWII based video game. First person shooter. Based upon the Pacific Theater, which often is ...

Epinions EA's Medal for Dishonourable Design

by  habberdashery,  Feb 6, 2004
Pros: Mindless Shooting - Fun for a While - New Modes
Cons: Sloppy Implementation - Exploiting Brand Name
The Bottom Line: This has obivously been rushed out by a team that knew people would but on brand name alone. Avoid this like typhoid; there are better examples on the market.
Review: HIDEOUS ERROR OF JUDGEMENT # 1 The Japanese are in the midst of executing the biggest strategic error in the history of warfare. Squadrons of fighters are deploying wave after wave of explosives upon the Hawaiian U.S. military base Pearl Harbour ...

Epinions You can't get something for nothing!

by  matthos,  Dec 9, 2003
Pros: Cut scenes, playing army, the Welrod, historically accurate, graphics are pretty good.
Cons: Terrible AI, bad save options, no strategy required, non-interactive environments.
The Bottom Line: Rising Sun had so much potential. So much in fact that I decided to buy it over other recently released, killer titles. Don't make the same mistake.
Review: The past two months have been a salivation fest for owners on the Xbox. Hands down this is what we have all been waiting for since first playing Halo and the very few other good titles (Hi tman 2, Frontline, Max Payne, ...

Epinions Medal Of Honor dishonors the franchise

by  hyle,  Dec 9, 2003
Pros: Some Decent graphics. Based on a real event.
Cons: Rail shooting sections. Poor AI. Bad character animations and choppy graphics during multi-player.
The Bottom Line: Save yourself......stay away
Review: I am a fan of this series. Medal of Honor for the Playstation was a great new way to take on combat. We actually were playing out a real scenario. We had realistic weapons for the time period and were shooting up Nazis. It was a lot of fun. Real-time ...

Epinions Soils the Medal Of Honor Series

by  garrettb,  Dec 7, 2003
Pros: One of the few games to offer the pacific theater.
Cons: Slow AI, Poor weapon modeling, short game play
Review: I'm not one to do a review of game software, but Medal of Honor: Rising Sun was so bad, I feel it my duty as an XBOX owner to warn other players away from the game. This game may share the same name as the other Medal of Honor games, but not the ...
