Epinions Mario Party 8 - A fun time with Mario and the gang.

by  Kittyokc,  Sep 14, 2007
Pros: Fun, cute and did I mention fun?
Cons: Heckling voices!
The Bottom Line: If you're a Mario fan, you've got to have this game.
Review: When my kids got into Mario Party back on the Gamecube, I didn't understand what the big deal was about the game, I mean a bunch of mini games? Big deal right? Well, I have since changed my mind since we have the Wii and PS3 in the living room, ...

Epinions Next generation "board game" not boring.

by  bennyzmom2,  Nov 23, 2007
Pros: Multi-player/any age. Owned for more than 6 months, STILL THE favorite.
Cons: I wish there were more "boards" to play.
The Bottom Line: This is a "Must-have" for any family purchasing a WII system. Uses the controls to the fullest. After 6 months, and many purchases, it's still our favorite.
Review: Recently purchasing a WII (not owning any previous "Mario Party" versions), this was one of the games we chose for our package (among 4 "bundled") and I couldn't be happier--this is by far our favorite which over 3 MONTHS, we've played the most. I am ...

Epinions Maybe for an elementary school party. Kids love it!

by  xyzwyatt,  Feb 26, 2008
Pros: Kids love it
Cons: Boring for adults
The Bottom Line: Recommended for elementary school age kids. Not recommended for adults.
Review: Usually my kids wake up on a Saturday morning and it's straight to the cartoons followed closely by, “What's for breakfast”. Not anymore! It's all about Mario Party 8. My husband keeps telling them to play Mario Party on the Game Cube, but ...

Epinions Have a party all by yourself!

by  gamegurus,  Feb 20, 2008
Pros: Mario and company will spend time with you even when nobody else will!
Cons: Can be a little "childish". Gets boring fast.
The Bottom Line: This is not something I would play daily, but beats cleaning up the mess of an old fashioned board game!
Review: If you were (or are) one of those lonely kids like I was growing up, you still carry around baggage over not having anyone to play board games with. Maybe it's because I was an 80's child that board games were so important. Anyway, over time I grew up, ...

by  ganjagal,  Jan 4, 2008
Pros: great graphics, fun for the whole family, lots of characters to choose from

Epinions The Eight Installment of the Series We All Know and Love

by  jaws12,  Jun 13, 2007
Pros: Very fun minigames, cool boards, new characters, and a bunch of fun with your friends.
Cons: Annoying announcer, same gameplay as old Mario Parties, Same sound effects.
The Bottom Line: All in all this is a really great game, I just wish that it had wi-fi compatability. I mean, what the hell Nintendo, I want online games on the Wii!!
Review: Here comes Mario and all his pals for another grand adventure...or maybe not so grand. The basics of this game are simple, you hit a dice block, move however many spaces indicated by the dice block, and hope to god you can get the star before the ...

Epinions Why are my kids addicted to this series?

by  DeSpayre,  Jul 22, 2007
Pros: Good use of Wii controllers, some new game types and characters
Cons: Cheesy unlockables, fairly easy single-player modes
The Bottom Line: A small investment for big family fun. Go out and get this game!
Review: My five-year-old is perhaps the biggest Mario fan in the known world and could not wait (or stop bugging me about it) for this game to arrive. Since then I don't believe a day has gone by without him wanting to play it, pretending to play it, or talking ...

Epinions A Mario Fiesta, or a Mario Siesta?

by  maddogdenny,  Jun 10, 2007
Pros: Fun minigames, a couple new modes, some interesting boards.
Cons: Not fast paced enough, not much has changed since the first.
The Bottom Line: Based on everything mentioned earlier, I'll call this one a rental, at least until it's cheap, unless you loved the previous titles, then party on Wayne.
Review: I must admit, I've been out of the Mario Party loop for quite a while. Ever since the first one on the Nintendo 64, I have declined every invitation until now. Why? Because the little lady wanted it, and what she wants, she gets. So, like every party ...

Epinions Guess Who's Back? Back Again...Guess Who's Back, Guess Who's Back?

by  dimeuhday,  Jun 5, 2007
Pros: Flawless gaming, fun, replay value is high
Cons: Similar to what we've seen in the past, graphics haven't improved
The Bottom Line: Mario Party 8 is a great game, I'll give it that, but the want for online gaming is high, and Nintendo fails to hear it's fans.
Review: I’ve been dreaming about you, drooling over you in every magazine I get my hands on that mentions you. Oh sweet Mario… Mario… I have been getting glimpses here and there about Mario Party 8 for the Nintendo Wii. When I first learned about ...

Epinions Italian Plumber avoids hangover by staying drunk 8 parties straight

by  tommy_lop,  Jun 19, 2007
Pros: a few good boards and a few good mini games
Cons: Hudson is running out of ideas, there are better Mario parties out there.
The Bottom Line: Mario Party 8 isen't terrible but it's not 50 dollers good.
Review: I rented Mario Party 8 a couple of days ago and I played through the single player, yes I know Mario Party 8 is a multiplayer game and I rented it at a bad time when I had no one around to play multiplayer but has I played through it I came to realize ...
