Big Bang for the Bucks

I love my camera! It takes better quality shots than I had with my regular film camera, with no film to buy and I can pick and choose which shots I want to develop. Which I do by uploading them to Walmart.com and sending them to my local Walmart One-Hour Photo Center at $0.20 per 4x6 print. I've also had a couple of 8x10s printed out and they turned out wonderful as well.

It seems sturdy enough to me, I do keep it in a protective case when not in use, but I also carry it in my purse all the time. The internal memory isn't big, but I purchased a memory card on eBay for about $20, 256mb if memory serves, and can now take over 600 pictures. And as with most digital cameras, it will suck down a battery, so I advise you to also purchase a battery charger and at least 4 rechargeable batteries. In my opinion it's a camera comparable to any other point and shoot digital I used while working as a reporter for a local newspaper.

After reading several of the other reviews, I may have a bit of advice for the amount of time the camera takes to save the picture. After you a take a picture, and the picture continues to stay on the screen while saving, just quickly press the shutter button half way down and go on to take your next picture. I've also noticed complaints about the shutter lag, and while it's no "Speedy Gonzalez" in that department, it helps to press the shutter button halfway down and let the camera focus, once it's automatic focus is done press the shutter the rest of the way down. It won't win any races, but CAN still take candid shots. You just have to get your timing down and be sneaky about it!
