Epinions KitchenAid® Professional 600™ Series 6-Quart Bowl Lift Stand Mixer

by  djgeiger,  Jun 11, 2005
Pros: One of the things that impressed me about the mixer was the all-metal construction.
Cons: The weight but dealing with the weight is worth the all-metal construction.
The Bottom Line: Will worth purchasing because of the ease of use comparing to using a hand mixer or kneading bread for fifteen minutes. Very useful as all-purpose tool with attachments.
Review: One thing I had always wanted was a KitchenAid Mixer. My mother had a Sunbeam Hand/Stand meaning it could be used as a stand mixer or a hand mixer. I saw no use especially as the hand mixer was too heavy. As a stand mixer, the capacity was ...

Epinions Finally I've reached the top.

by  rdmiller,  Dec 6, 2002
Pros: Most powerful motor available. Slow gear-up feature prevents flour storms. Tough, durable.
Cons: Noisy (sounds like an airplane). Big.
The Bottom Line: Buy it, and don't mess around with anything else, if you make dough, cookies, etc., on an almost daily basis.
Review: I make pizza dough nearly every day. (My teenage son won't eat anything else, and I've conceded the fight.) I started (innocently) with a bread machine, and after going through 4 of them, switched to a KitchenAid 5-quart (Artisan) mixer. Ironically, I...

Epinions A Dream Come True!!!!

by  mom2jodasesh,  Dec 2, 2004
Pros: Lifelong heirloom quality, large batch capability, professional look, how can you go wrong?
Cons: The hub knob seems to be a little iffy...
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs the capacity to do large batches on a regular basis. Maybe a little cumbersome for the everyday cook, try smaller versions.
Review: I started professional cake baking/decorating after I started having children. I always wanted to make creative and fun birthday cakes for my kids, so I read a lot of cake decorating magazines, tried some stuff out to figure it out and learned quite a ...

Epinions Now this is a MIXER !!

by  pgmart,  Jul 11, 2002
Pros: Power to spare makes the KA Pro a great choice for large batches
Cons: The mixing bowl is difficult to remove and replace.
The Bottom Line: The Kitchen Aid Professional is tops on a watt/dollar basis and a quality machine!
Review: Okay so it sounds a little like a pretty big drill press or maybe a radial arm saw. But when you're working with 525 watts of mixing torque and power you shouldn't be surprised that this mixer sounds like a power tool. When I got my Professional, (I...

Epinions Mix it up baby!

by  ONLYTRUTH,  Oct 31, 2000
Pros: large easy many uses
Cons: none
Review: This is one of those products that will probably outlast you. You've seen those old kitchenaid mixers that your grandmother had still churning away after nearly 100 years. So did I, that's why I bought this powerful beast.

Cakes, breads,...

Epinions Great Mixer!!!

by  mcervi,  Jan 7, 2008
Pros: Heavy duty, many attachments to expand functionality. Quality. Large bowl capacity. Nice looking.
Cons: Very heavy. Best to leave out. That's the trade-off for the powerful motor.
The Bottom Line: Great quality mixer for people with high mixing demands. KitchenAid is a leader in mixer quality and this model is no exception.
Review: I do a LOT of cooking... big batches mostly (I am Italian). This mixer is great for large batches of dough (Bread, Pasta, etc.) This is a large capacity, heavy duty quality mixer. I do not understand other reviewers stating otherwise. This mixer is ...

Epinions The God of mixers

by  avpman,  Jan 29, 2001
Pros: Endless power, 1st rate assembly quality, wide array of accessories, KitchenAid reputation, looks awesome.
Cons: Price, but I think you get what you paid for.
The Bottom Line: The biggest, baddest mixer on Earth. Go get yourself one today.
Review: Just stop right there for a second. Take a long, hard look at your old mixer that smells funny every time you beat two eggs with a cup of sugar. Now, head to your favorite store, online or not, and treat yourself to one of these. This appliance is way...

Epinions Every baker should have one of these!

by  mfluder1013,  Mar 4, 2005
Pros: Powerful mixer - handles shortening very well! Excellent instruction book with helpful tips.
Cons: Six quart attachments are hard to find in the stores. Although they are online.
The Bottom Line: This mixer has sent me looking at other KitchenAid products for my needs. I am very impressed.
Review: Last summer, I started a Wilton Cake Decorating class. A friend of mine really wanted to take the class, but wanted a friend to go. I was recruited as I'm a craft lover and will try anything once. Without getting into the details of the class (which I ...

by  chefintraining,  Aug 17, 2003
Pros: Saves time and is great on the hands.
Cons: Expensive if you are wanting it for at home use only.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend anyone who cooks a lot and enjoys creativity time, to purchase one. For those of you who can not afford one to pay up front, LAYAWAY!!!

Epinions Great Mixer - Great Customer Service!

by  dstarbird,  Aug 28, 2004
Pros: Too many to list in just 15 words!
Cons: The only complaint I have is that it is rather noisy.
Review: I've had my mixer for about 4 or 5 years now...long past the warranty period. I use this thing all the time for making bread, cakes, cookies, whipped cream...you name it! I haven't used any attachments yet, but I'll be getting a set soon. I've never ...
