Pros: Fast, clear, wireless, small, DVD capability.
Cons: Expensive
The Bottom Line: This is a super computer. They don't come much better in my opinion.

Pros: BATTERY LIFE, keyboard, screen, weight, performance
Cons: Expensive, today's hardware is overkill for today's software
The Bottom Line: Simply the best laptop on the planet, but unless your needs are high, it is probably overkill.
Review: I just spent the morning setting up an IBM ThinkPad T40 laptop computer. This thing is top of the line, with the Centrino processor, built-in-WiFi and a CDRW/DVD combo drive. Loaded with Windows XP Professional on its 60GB hard drive and 512MB of RAM, ...

Pros: Ultralight, long battery life, bright screen, fast video, new Trackpoint
Cons: Terrible 802.11b support, flimsy shell, no serial port
The Bottom Line: Get this laptop if you want something well rounded. It can play games, but is very stable and great for business computing.
Review: At last, I finally was able to get my company to buy me a laptop. Since I try to work at home whenever possible, it's nice to be able to bring my work home without having to worry about slow downloads over a VPN connection or burn files to a CDR. I've...

Pros: Size, Weight, Screen, Battery life,
Cons: PRICE
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for real portability and quality, this is the machine for you! It is worth every penny!
Review: After being thoroughly disappointed with the Dell Inspiron 600M, (read my review on it) I finally made my original dream come true and bought the IBM Thinkpad T40. The same day which I returned my Dell I ordered my Thinkpad. It took four days to get ...

Pros: Stellar battery life (5-7hrs), top-notch warranty, Unbreakable!
Cons: Pricey, no Windows CD included, dock-KVM issues, Windows key missing?
The Bottom Line: If you don't mind paying extra for the best money can buy, go IBM. Otherwise, Dell can suit you well if you don't mind measly warranties and cheaper build quality.
Review: As an incoming college student, I needed a laptop that could give me steady performance for all the tasks that I need one for. I just recently dumped my old Dell Inspiron 5000e laptop because it just couldnt do what I needed it for any longer. Even ...

Pros: Solid battery life, crisp graphics, fast processor (including quick boot-up) and great features.
Cons: Resolution a bit low, no CD-RW, touchpad buttons could be a bit more sturdy.
The Bottom Line: This is a solid, fast, well-equipped laptop with great features and a low price to boot. In my opinion it's the best deal going.
Review: I've had this laptop since May 2004 and have absolutely loved it. I was able to find a good deal online (you can too, they still seem to be available for about $1500) and given the features, I think it's actually really good value. The major features ...

Pros: Solid, reliable, light and fast (as long as you have RAM)
Cons: None in comparison to other laptops
The Bottom Line: This is a solid piece of machinery.
Review: The Txx line of laptops from Lenovo (formerly IBM) is a solid line to choose a laptop. While the outside is not flashy or remarkable in any real aspect, this makes it nice to carry around without fear of being scratched. The form itself is nice. ...

Pros: VERY sturdy mechanically, thin, reasonably light, battery life, superior wireless performance, great included software tools
Cons: More expensive than the competition, no serial port (I don't have use for one anyway)
The Bottom Line: Whatever you buy, you're spending a lot of money on a laptop you'll probably keep at least 2-3 years. Spend the extra on this and you won't regret it.
Review: I've used several brands of laptops through the years. It's amazing to look back and see how much progress there's been in this technical genre. The ThinkPad T40 is a sweet machine indeed. If you have the opportunity to compare one to other brands ...

Pros: The 1400x1024 screen is beautiful, bright, clear, and easy-to-read - AMAZING!
Cons: The screen fades slightly when looking at an angle.
The Bottom Line: The IBM ThinkPad T40 (237392U) is greater than its impressive parts. The details in how IBM puts it all together makes it the best laptop.
Review: I absolutely love my new ThinkPad T40 237392U. It is thin, fast, light, powerful, wireless, and stylish. It has beautiful hi-res 14.1" 1400x1024 screen, 512MB RAM, ATI Mobility RADEON 9000 32MB DDR 4x AGP graphics card, a CD-RW/DVD, 80GB HD, Gigabit ...

Pros: Speed, Battery Life, Lightweight, Quiet, Solid.
Cons: Nothing except doesn't ship with XP CD (only installed).
The Bottom Line: For the weight, speed, battery life and solid feel of this notebook, I highly recommend the high price. I have had no issues with it in 7 months.
Review: After owning many computers, this Thinkpad T40 is my first new notebook. I read many reviews and had worked on my brother-in-law's during vacation, and had to have one. I purchased it from PCMALL.com and it arrived safely and as promised. They also ...
