Epinions Great value for a personal or SOHO printer

by  kurt_g,  Dec 7, 2007
Pros: attractively priced, one-pass color printing, good print quality
Cons: manual duplex only, small paper tray
The Bottom Line: For a small office or a personal printer, the 2600n offers excellent quality for the price.
Review: This printer is in use at one of my clients. An enterprising office manager, tired of ordering several different kinds of toner for several different types of printers, decided that she wanted to standardize their printers. They wanted a ...

Epinions Good entry-level color laser for SOHO use

by  larwe,  Sep 29, 2007
Pros: Excellent for text, diagrams, flowcharts etc.
Cons: Consumables costly (like all color lasers). Not for heavy use. Manual feed problematic.
The Bottom Line: Good for teachers or small business. Be conscious of the cost of ownership before buying ANY color laser.
Review: By way of introduction, here's my usage pattern, so you can compare your needs against mine before you read my comments: My wife is a middle school teacher, and she needs to print occasional prize certificates and color overheads. She works almost ...

Epinions Home Office, SECOND occasionally used printer, great buy

by  josecitos_girl,  Sep 1, 2006
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to install, easy to use, beautiful results.
Cons: HUUUUUUge, but can't see any other way to design it.
The Bottom Line: Perfect as an inexpensive second, light-use, back-up printer. For the many reasons listed by the other posters, it shouldn't be considered as a sole or principal printer.
Review: April 16, 2007 UPDATE: When the original toners (that came with the printer) were only 30% low, all the paper printed with a kind of "marbled" background. The manual indicated this is a sign the "toner is low," but 30% full is hardly low! Long story ...

Epinions Cheapest 8*10 photo printer out there (regular printer too)

by  jamiegor,  Jul 11, 2005
Pros: VERY GOOD QUALITY PHOTO IMAGES HP Dependability and economy for whats out there
Cons: Toners could yield more, GDI based system wait for new model???
The Bottom Line: TOp quality item rock bottom price, especially when you factor in realistic consumables
Review: Preface: How I came to this model I had purchased this printer after disregarding the stigma that entry level printers are not as good and will end up being more expensive in the long run. After reading about comparisons with HP Business Inkjet models ...

Epinions Not a bad deal!

by  sophiesdad,  Dec 17, 2005
Pros: Easy setup, quiet, and good printing quality.
Cons: Not many upgrades available, toner is a little pricey.
The Bottom Line: If you want a good, basic color laser printer, this is the one.
Review: I read the other reviews and went to Best Buy with fear and trepidation. It's a good thing that I'm computer savvy because the display model wasn't plugged in, one of the shipping pieces was still in the paper drawer AND the yellow toner cartridge ...

Epinions Second Time Buyer

by  robnie,  May 15, 2008
Pros: Attractive machine, quiet, except when initializing or calibrating, decent speed, very professional printing results
Cons: Expensive toner, smallish paper tray, built-in toner waster that must be overridden
The Bottom Line: For home or small office use, great buy!
Review: I bought this printer for home because I have one in my office at work for my personal use. At work, it has been very reliable and I find that the photos I print actually rival ink jet prints. I was disappointed at the rate it uses toner, but since I ...

Epinions Great printer

by  boeingman1,  Sep 24, 2005
Pros: great quality text
Cons: expensive toner
The Bottom Line: great printer at cheap price
Review: I bought this printer a few weeks ago. September 2005 from OfficeMax. I mainly wanted a black and white printer with the option of having color when I needed it. The decision that drove me to a laser printer is that I am fed up with inkjets for ...

Epinions Excellent Entry-Level Color LaserJet Printer

by  colby1992,  Oct 10, 2006
Pros: Fast print speed, Small footprint, Ethernet port, Excellent Web Sever Configuration
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: This is an EXCELLENT choice for a home/network printer. Users who want laser but still want a splash of color sometimes should buy this machine. You won't regret this purchase!
Review: This is truly an excellent HP Color LaserJet printer. The paper tray is small (250 sheets) but this printer was designed for HOME use. There is a $150.00 additional 250 sheet paper tray that attaches to the bottom. I have had this machine for a month now ...

Epinions Great home color laser printer

by  cellear,  Aug 13, 2007
Pros: Beautiful output, quiet, quick, networked, Mac and PC compatible, looks nice
Cons: Terrible photos, expensive ink (for a laser - still much cheaper than ink jet)
Review: I've been wanting a color laser printer for years. When the prices dropped below $400, I knew it was time to buy one. I looked at a few others, but what finally swayed me to the 2600N was it's solidity -- some of the other printers I looked at seemed ...

Epinions Love having A Color Laser Printer

by  profm1,  Apr 26, 2006
Pros: Easy Setup. Great Color output. Happy I replaced my inkjet.
Cons: Wish it had a dust cover.
Review: I wanted to get away from the outrageous priced inkjet cartridges. This is the printer that allowed me to. The setup was simple on my self installed wireless network at my home. I was able to print out a test page in about 2 minutes after I set up ...
