Epinions Guitar Hero 2 - 100 hours into the game...

by  t13monkeys,  Jan 27, 2007
Pros: tons of songs, lots of extras, improved 2 player mode, excellent selection of songs
Cons: may unintentionally draw your child away from real instruments.
The Bottom Line: One of the Best PS2 games to hit the market...Guitar Hero 2 is a must get.
Review: And I finally stop for long enough to type up a review after I bandage my now callused throbbing hands. For once, parents can be satisfied; Guitar Hero 2 is no mindless violence inducing game that will corrupt your children to a life of crime in some ...

Epinions Everyone's a Star With Guitar Hero II

by  pambo,  Dec 26, 2006
Pros: Truly fun game for wannabe guitarists
Cons: None, absolutely perfect.
The Bottom Line: This game is a blast--everyone can play at whatever level suits them.
Review: Guitar Hero II is the perfect PlayStation 2 game for a young teenager or preteen or, lets face it, fantasizing grownup, interested in making music, learning a little about playing a guitar and above all, wanting to "play" to an audience which cheers ...

Epinions Air Guitar Much?

by  nad_masters,  Dec 7, 2007
Pros: Progressive difficulty, Star Power, large track list
Cons: Multiplayer not as well thought out as solo play.
The Bottom Line: If you find yourself air-guitaring to your favorite songs, GH2 may be right up your alley.
Review: Before R ock Band, my brother and I found Guitar Hero 2. We've all seen it on display at Best Buy and Walmart, but picking up the controller makes you feel stupid or grade-school. However, despite that, it caught my ...

Epinions Rock Out With Your... Well, You Know... - Guitar Hero 2

by  Rock_On, top reviewer in Games ,  Jan 9, 2007
Pros: fun songs that are easy AND difficult, Avenged Sevenfold's "Beast and the Harlot"
Cons: getting angry and bashing your controller against the wall
The Bottom Line: It's better than DDR, AND you can play some of music's greatest. Get it, play it, breathe it.
Review: It hurts me to admit, but I completely missed out on the original Guitar Hero era back in the day (2005). GH is basically the rocker man’s Dance Dance Revolution. All the Friday nights of rocking out with my trusty Six String Air Guitar in ...

Epinions I am a Guitar Hero...so much for my Rock Band!

by  ltrain,  Jun 14, 2008
Pros: Different from nearly anything else you've played!
Cons: Music isn't by the original artists, characters aren't very customizable.
The Bottom Line: It's a load of fun...different from nearly every other game I've played. Great track list keeps it fun!
Review: My first experience with the newest gaming genre, music games, came in the form of Rock Band. Working backwards, I've since acquired Guitar Hero II which is nearly without peer in the gaming world. The only thing like Guitar Hero II that I've seen is ...

Epinions For Those About to Party Like a RockStar...

by  TweekGirl,  Sep 21, 2007
Pros: You can Finally Set the Air Guitar Down and learn some tabs...
Cons: You'll need to keep some Ben Gay handy for those finger cramps!
The Bottom Line: Go and Buy Guitar Hero II and two controllers so you, your family, and friends can rock together and spend some seriously fun quality time together.
Review: Guitar Hero II may be the second chapter in the Guitar Hero series, but it is by no means second best. Published by RedOctane/Activision and developed by Harmonix Music Systems, Guitar Hero II rocked its way onto our TV screens in November of 2006. ...

Epinions Family Fun Night

by  VTMom,  Apr 13, 2007
Pros: Tremendous fun. Long game play and all ages can enjoy.
Cons: Guitar controls are costly.
The Bottom Line: Guitar Hero 2 is fun for the whole family. You can get up and truly rock out. Don't sit around, get up and jam like a rock hero.
Review: For my birthday, I begged my husband to buy me Guitar Hero 2. I'd played the first version at my brother's house and knew he was buying me a PS2 for my birthday. For those who may be scoffing, I'm a thirty-something woman with a thirteen-year-old son ...

Epinions Here it is! Rock you like a hurricane

by  jman1783,  Dec 5, 2006
Pros: Tons of songs, great multiplayer, fun, easy to learn, practice mode
Cons: Some death metal is grating, mainly covers of originals, will eat up your free time
The Bottom Line: Invest in a guitar or two and buy this game! It's one of the most entertaining game/peripheral combos I've seen on the system.
Review: Finally, a follow-up game that's as good or better than the original! Guitar Hero II, the long-awaited sequel to the original game from 2005, packs in more songs, improved graphics, more challenging note patterns, an easier user interface, and vastly ...

Epinions Get ready to ROCK!

by  marqbecky,  Feb 6, 2007
Pros: Fun and entertaining. Content appropriate for all ages.
Cons: Highly addictive. May be difficult to use for small children.
The Bottom Line: A must have for any rock fan, or gamer who enjoys a musical challenge!
Review: Being a huge fan of the first Guitar Hero, I preordered this game when opportunity first knocked...and it was worth it! In this second installment of the Guitar Hero series, players will find themselves swamped with an impressive and lengthy song ...

by  reeseleo71,  Sep 17, 2007
Pros: Great songs. Good challenge. Fast paced.
Cons: No cons. Awesome game.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this game because it is great for all ages, fun and very hard to get bored with.
Review: This is an excellent game for everyone. There are four difficulty levels. Those levels are Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert. I have spent many hours playing this game. There are songs on this game for everyone. This game is great for hand eye coordination. ...
