Review: I love me some Pina Colada. There is nothing better after a long day and irritating night than to grab a bunch of ice, throw it down into a blender glass, and take your frustrations out on the *crush* button. It is almost carnal. To know that within ...

Epinions Great Professional Blender - Under $100

by  siegelscott,  Dec 16, 2003
Pros: Power - 600 watts is a hellavalot. Ease of Use - intuitive buttons.
Cons: Container is a bit heavy. On plus side, it is also 50oz, very large capacity.
The Bottom Line: This is a must have for those who are used to buying crap and really want to own one solid piece of kitchen equipment.

Pros: Capacity, does a thorough job, looks attractive, durable
Cons: I can't think of any.
Review: I purchased this blender over 2 years ago after I broke 3 different cheaper blenders from Braun and Oster within a one month period. I have used this Cuisinart blender under heavy blending tasks almost daily. It has not failed once nor has it broke ...

by  gozor,  Sep 15, 2005
Pros: Powerful, blends well, feels very solid
Cons: None yet.
The Bottom Line: Recommended. Seems like a good quality unit and works well.
Review: I bought this blender at Bed Bath & Beyond. It was about $100 and looked to be more powerful and heavier than the Kitchen Aid 5 model. I also preferred the mechanical connection between the base and the blade. The power is transferred by two gear-type ...

Epinions Strong and Loud

by  njecminek,  Jun 14, 2005
Pros: Powerful, sharp blades and stylish.
Cons: Loud, and the lightweight blades.
Review: After exchanging my previous two bad Kitchenaid KSB5 blenders, this solid-working one is a relief. I burned out an inexpensive blender with my fresh spinach greens, but the CBT-500 doesn't get bogged down in the least. The only two things I can ...

Review: I had a bad run of luck with blenders last year. Inexplicably, my old blender died and then the new one I replaced it with died within a month. I was out twenty five bucks – seeing as how I’m one of those people who throw receipts away ...

Epinions Looks nice, but....

by  mhirschfield,  May 27, 2004
Pros: Nice looking; large jar.
Cons: Two blade assemblies have cracked; somewhat noisy.
The Bottom Line: If you're not going to put it to much heavy-duty use and are concerned about styling, maybe; otherwise you could probably do better elsewhere.
Review: I've had a Cuisinart food processor (the same one!) for just over 20 years. It has performed a large variety of tasks extremely well during all of that time. When looking for a new blender, I assumed a Cuisinart would be up to that same standard of ...

Epinions The Smart Power, Nice To Look at Blender

by  sj1and0,  Jun 19, 2006
Pros: Stainless steel blades to crush ice at high or low speed you can time.
Cons: It leaks and mostly only pulses.
The Bottom Line: 50-Ounce glass jar with a die cast metal base and stainless steel blades. A dynamic new, attractive and sophisticated look. A not so great blender.

Pros: POWER, ice crushing abilities
Cons: cheap, easy to break, difficult to replace plastic parts
The Bottom Line: Pay a little more and get something that won't break on you.
Review: The power on this baby crushes ice like you wouldn't believe. It's the strongest most efficient blender I've ever had. Cuisinart is a brand I've always heard good things about. But there are some downsides. The handle is plastic, and hollow, so ...
