Cute and Comfy!

I quickly snapped up the Mary Janes as soon as I saw them on the Crocs website. I'm so glad that I did!

I own quite a few pair of Crocs, and was so happy to see the Mary Janes. They are really adorable, and have all of the comfort and durability of the Crocs line. They come in twelve different colours, and I chose the brown. My daughters have them in pink, light blue, and red. The pink and light blue show scuff marks more than the others. This is easily remedied by a good once-over with some Amor-All.

According to the Crocs.com website, the Mary Janes are:
- slip-resistant and non-marking soles
- anti-microbial and odor resistant
- made with croslite material

Being slip-resistant is wonderful as I live in Florida and in the summer am subject to a lot of wet parking lots and sidewalks! I also have worn them on my dock, and don't worry about slipping there. They are extremely well-ventilated with holes on the top, open in the middle, and have vents near the sole as well. I wear them with socks in the winter, but generally wear them without the socks for the other ten months of the year. :)

The anti-microbial CrocsLite material is amazing - my feet never smell in these shoes, even after being out all day in the heat. My older daughter has pretty stinky feet, and they do not reek while wearing the Mary Janes. I purchased the girl's Mary Janes for both my younger daughter and my goddaughter, and they wear them to school nearly every day. They play in the water as well as the dirt piles with them, and have never had any problems with stability while running or getting their feet roughed up by playing outdoors. They are a great all-around sandal.

I wear mine to work, and I lecture for four hours at a time. I have lower back problems, so wearing my Mary Janes to work is such a blessing. On the days when my back hurts so much I cannot bear to wear heels/pumps, I throw on my Mary Janes and the pain is gone! The orthotic footbed is so comfortable and contains little nubs that feel wonderful on your feet. This Crocs shoe is extremely stable on your foot due to the fact that it has both a heel and toe enclosure plus two straps across the top.

If you don't want to get your feet wet, this shoe is not for wearing in a torrential rainstorm/snowstorm or puddle-dodging as there are many vents on the tops or sides. I just don't wear socks with them if I know it's going to be very rainy. Conversely, this is a GREAT summer shoe as they are light and comfy! So light, they float on water! If you do get your feet wet, the vents ensure a quick drying time.

The two negatives are the "toe trip," which usually happens on carpeting, and the froggy "skronk" noise your foot makes when they're wet. The 'toe trip' generally only happens on carpeting, and I notice it when I'm tired. It doesn't happen often, though. When your feet are overly-sweaty (again, this rarely happens due to the vents) or wet, the CrocsLite material causes your foot to "skronk," which is generally annoying. Again, your foot dries very quickly due to the vents.

I can't tell you how much fun this shoe is for myself and my daughters! I have actually chosen my wardrobe around this awesome little shoe!
