Epinions Diamond in the Rough

by  Andrew_Lim,  Aug 26, 2008
Pros: Breathtakingly-good image quality...astounding build quality that lasts forever...now at a steal!
Cons: Slow to process and write images to card, hefty and bulky like other 1-series DSLRs.
The Bottom Line: Perfect for travel and landscape photography, great for wedding and portraiture, not too flash for sports. If you shoot very carefully and methodically, this is the camera for you.
Review: A Note to the Reader: This is a review of the 1Ds 'Classic', the first 1Ds to hit the market. I can already hear you exclaim in disbelief, 'What?! Why would you want to review a 6 year old digital SLR? Isn't it way past its time?' Indeed, I've chosen ...

Pros: Best choice for 11MP cameras. Great images. Heavy duty body. Canon quality!
Cons: High price! Small RAM buffer. Slow fps. 1 zoom %. No free-pan on image review.
The Bottom Line: If you need big and clean, it is the only way to go.

Epinions A superb camera...but not for everyone

by  lenns_dt3000,  Dec 9, 2003
Pros: 11 megapixels, built like a rock, you'll love your images
Cons: built like a "ROCK" and priced like that rock is made of gold
Review: This digital SLR captures very sharp, accurate images. It has a full size imaging chip so there is no magnification factor to worry about. It may very well be the best digital camera in it's format and it is a pleasure to use. Only 2 ...

Epinions Professional in every way....

by  demonjag,  Oct 10, 2005
Pros: Tough, Dust Proof, Virtually Water Proof, Excellent Pictures, Easy to use (even in manual).
Cons: Cost of Purchase.
Review: The Canon EOS 1Ds was purchased to work alongside the excellent Canon EOS1D I already owned, it allowed me to carry a spare Digital Body to location shoots instead of 1 Digital and 1 Film. The build quality is 2nd to none and although Nikon Fans ...

Epinions great camera, but not the best?

by  shuddddup,  Jan 5, 2004
Pros: large files, great quality of images, solid body, numerous choice of lenses
Cons: price, ugly body, quality not as good as the nikon d1x, canon lenses aren't great
The Bottom Line: if you can, buy the d1x instead. a lot cheaper and better quality. and nikon lenses are much sharper/better than canon.
Review: because of all the hype behind this camera, i decided to borrow my friend's for a week see just how 'great' this camera really is. at first glance, i found the body to be a little on the ugly side. i know you probably shouldn't judge a camera on its ...
