Great printer for the money.

Pros: I now rate this 5 stars! See review.

Cons: None, really, except maybe that it uses too much ink. But what printer doesn't?

The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this printer if you aren't looking for a high end photo printer or any high end printing. Its just a good basic home printer.

I loved this printer - it prints okay, scans okay, is easy to use, quick to print, not too noisy... I really liked it!

UNTIL I went to print a 12 page document and realized that I could not choose to print all the odd pages, then turn them over to print all the even pages. In order to print the front and back of each page, I would have to print each page one at a time: Print page 1, turn it over and print page 2; print page 3, turn it over and print page 4... etc etc... This is RIDICULOUS!!!...

I previously wrote the above and more about how screwed up it was that Canon does not print both sides of a page. That is because I had first written Canon tech support and they told me it was unfortunate, but no, it did not...

THEN, I got another email from Canon stating that they were sorry I had been given wrong information, and showing me how to in fact print both sides of a page!

So, now I do love my Canon Pixma. I especially love the Copy function which allows me to print a copy of a document as fast as the copy machine at work.

When set to Hiqh Quality and using glossy photo paper, it prints great 4x6 photos, I have not tried larger ones yet. I really do not print many photos, I keep them on my hard drive and cd's and email them.
