After looking at magazine covers of models who seem to have this amazing natural glow on their face, I went out on a hunt for something that would produce the same affect. I found it with Benefit's High Beam.

The appearance of the Benefit High Beam looks like a bottle of nail polish. Even the applicator brush and the consistency of the product reminds you of nail polish. When you pull out the brush from the bottle you get a lot of access which you won't need, I just wiped it off on the edge of the bottle.

The sales lady recommended I should put a brush stroke on my cheek bones, a few dots on my brow bones, and a dab on my chin after my moisturizer/foundation. (Basically the bone parts because that's where light hits.) I was told you can even mix it with your foundation and then apply it all over your face if you wanted an all over glow. But I thought the little dabs and dots was enough for a subtle glow and brightening effect.

Even though the product looks really thick in the bottle, I found out that it went on my face very light and smooths and blends very well. If you think you put too much on, you can always use your moisturizer or foundation to tone it back down, but I really doubt you need to because it's very sheer. Unlike powdery products, this didn't make my face dry and flaky, which I have a problem with since I have dry cheeks. High Beam also has great stay on power, unlike some products that seem to disappear at the end of the day or rub off on your hand, I can still see it on my face after work.

I've had this for about 2 weeks now and I think it's quite great. I don't like to put too much make up on my face when I go out, so this is perfect. It gives me a subtle shimmering glow that's kind of iridescent. It's very subtle where I can wear it to work and don't have to worry about "Will people think I'm gonna go dancing?"

Price wise, this may seem a bit pricey ($18 for .45oz)but a little goes a long way, you don't need that much of it for your face.
