Epinions The new king of the "transitional" upgrade!

by  jsc1973,  Jul 6, 2007
Pros: Allows use of DDR1 memory and AGP, extremely stable and amazingly cheap for the quality.
Cons: Not a good overclocking or gaming motherboard, SLI or CrossFire not possible.
The Bottom Line: Both this motherboard and its successor, the 4CoreDual-VSTA, are excellent products that fill an important niche in the do-it-yourself PC market. Highly recommended.

Epinions Stable, lots of flexibility, great concept, I like it

by  gustep,  May 29, 2007
Pros: Flexibility! DDR+DDR2, AGP+PCI-E, dual core support, stability, cheap, good BIOS support
Cons: Very slight speed impediment on PCI-E slot, no quad core support, limited overclocking

Pros: Cheap, stable, flexible with old peripherals, 7.1 sound, HDMI,
Cons: No tweaking allowed. No Quad-core. DDR2 RAM limited to 667mhz and 2gb.
The Bottom Line: A good mobo for a stepwise upgrader, this board has limited expandability, nonetheless. Otherwise, it is solid, stable, and reliable.
Review: Opening I usually don’t write hardware reviews, but I thought I would share a few thoughts about the ASRock 775Dual-VSTA motherboard that I recently upgraded to. I have been running the board for five months now and have been very happy ...
