Epinions So Realistic, The Game Will Go On Strike And Demand More Money.

by  tanta07,  May 21, 2002
Pros: Extra-Deep Features, Pretty Graphics, Fun
Cons: Maybe Too Realistic? Controls Can Be Tricky
The Bottom Line: I haven't seen a better PS2 baseball game since All Star Baseball 2002. Worth at least a rental.
Review: Ah…baseball season is upon us, people. It’s that time of year to go out into the sunshine, away from your PS2, to either watch or participate in America’s Pastime. And when you have come home from the game, what is a baseball fan to do with his/her...

Epinions A New Day in Baseball Video Games?

by  tanta07,  Dec 10, 2001
Pros: True Gameplay, Excellent Graphics
Cons: Tricky, Frustrating Controls
The Bottom Line: For those who have been burned by inferior baseball video games, it's time to love again.
Review: * - This game actually came out shortly after the beginning of the baseball season this year, but Epinions has just recently added it as a category.

In the past, I have been known to moan about how baseball has never been truly captured in...

Epinions Easily The Best Of The ASB Series

by  mrlastword,  Sep 25, 2003
Pros: Superior animation and game play put 03 at the head of the ASB class
Cons: That this and other great PS2 baseball titles will never be released for the PC
The Bottom Line: ASB2K3 is a definite must have for PS2 baseball fans. Fluid eye candy and intense game play can be fun if your bat button reflexes are up to it.
Review: Ok, ASB fans. You've played the rest. Now go out and fire up the best. This game totally rocks. I'm not one to give any video game a bad review if I play and don't win. On the contrary. So far, my record is a losing one. But each and every game has been a ...

Epinions Play Ball!

by  crimsonmask31,  Jul 12, 2002
Pros: A lot more realistic than most games.
Cons: Fielding isn't the greatest.
The Bottom Line: The most realistic baseball game to date. It's a must have for any lover of baseball.
Review: I think game companies don't understand that most people want to be in the game themselves. Who doesn't like seeing their statistics and how they do? I like baseball players but I want to be in the fantasy that I'm a ballplayer.

This game is...

Epinions PS2 All Star Baseball 2003

by  jafoo,  Jun 14, 2002
Pros: One of the funnest baseball games ever created!
Cons: Whenever batter swings on a pitch and catcher misses it, no strike is counted!
The Bottom Line: Any Baseball fan whos looking for a good time by himself or with friends should check this baby out!
Review: Let me be honest with you, the only reason I rented ASB2003 is because Blockbuster was out of Triple Play 2002. But TP2002 has to be very fine in order to pass this game up in fun and longevity. I could play this gave for 5 days straight if I had to,...

Epinions Deepest Simulation You Will Ever See.

by  bbenooliz,  Jun 23, 2003
Pros: Graphics are done well. Most realistic (statistical wise) baseball game out there
Cons: Learning Curve. Too many game modes (bad?) Too deep Franchise mode (bad?)
The Bottom Line: If you are looking to give 9-year old Jimmy a baseball game for his birthday, make it MLB Slugfest.
Review: When I first played this game, I thought it was terrible. I didnt understand all the batting cursors ...

Epinions Number One PS2 Baseball Game!

by  bourbonblue,  May 10, 2002
Pros: Very deep gameplay, great graphics, lots of options, create your own team.
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: In depth, realistic game with innovative and cool features unique to this game plus all the features of the other games currently on the market.
Review: This game has it all, all the real players, teams, and stadiums with amazing true to life detail. Both batters and pitchers look and play like their real life counterparts.
This game is more realistic than this years Triple Play and more...

Epinions professional

by  japan_dude,  Jun 2, 2003
Pros: good sound and replay
Cons: graphics are a little outdated
The Bottom Line: All the teams and stadiums. The menus haven't really changed from previous ASB, but seems to become more of an unituitive mess with each version
Review: Like Madden, ASB features trading cards. Earn points by performing certain tasks on the field and trade them in after the game for packs of cards. Players, stadiums, Hall of Famers, and the Development Team are featured on the cards. Collecting different...

Epinions It has the distance, but is it fair?

by  pgmark,  Jan 30, 2003
Pros: Good choice of options
Cons: Terrible batting interface, not well thought out features.
The Bottom Line: If you dont mind the batting interface, or are all about features,go for it. Otherwise, I would either get a different game or wait for All Star Baseball 2004.
Review: I played this game hoping it would replace the old, outdated baseball game I used to play. I had heard about the options on it, and as a hard core baseball fan, I thought it would be everything I wanted.
Unfortunately, I was wrong. This game...

Epinions stay away from this game...

by  bradvandam,  Mar 5, 2002
Pros: graphics
Cons: horrible gameplay; programming glitches
The Bottom Line: Do not buy this game. You will be horribly disappointed. Acclaim has failed miserably in this next step on a more powerful gaming platform.
Review: **ASB 2003 Note: For those waiting for a review of ASB 2003, let me first tell you it is much better than the 2002 version. The main difference I have noticed is that hitting is more difficult, but not impossible. It is not going to be a...
