Killer AI and gameplay

This Game Is Incredible! If you were a fan of any of the alien or predator movies I reccomend you get this. Its 3 games in 1, you can play as an Alien, a Marine, or a Predator.

One of the things I see that should hit off is Dark Reign is it's a prequel. What does that mean? Entirely different troops and machines, different technology and a story line leading up to the war between the Imperium and the Freedom Guard. Check out Dark Reign after Dark Reign 2 to get the entire feel for the game.

As an alien you have lightning speed, and can climb walls. The Alien has three attacks. The claw slash, the tail whip, and you can eat people with your jaws. Eating people with your jaws gives you full heatlh. Once somebody is die you can slash the body for more remains. As an alien you fight Marines, Androids, Xenoborgs and Predators.

As a Marine you have several weapons of choice, a pulse rifle with grenade launcher, (standard weapon) Smartgun, this auto targets the enimies, not perfect but does a good job. A flamethrower, only good at short range, even when you light an alien or predator on fire they can still attack while they are dying. And it is easy to catch yourself on fire. The Grenade Launcher fires grenades, fragmentaion grenades and proximity mines. Sadar is a rocket launcher, only use at long range. Extremley powerful. And Finaly the mini gun. The mini gun has six barrels and holds 800 rounds. The biggest disadvantadge is that you have to hold still while using it, it kicks so much, when you fire and hold it down it moves upwards. You also have nightvision and radar. As the marine you fight aliens, predators, praetorians, face huggers, PredAlien, Xenoborgs and the Queen Alien.

As a Predator you have a truly unique gaming expierience, you have many diffrent weapons, a wrist blade, for slashing, a spear gun, Plasmacaster which is the gun that puts the 3 dots on the guys for head, it has auto targetting capabilities. Your medicomp which heals you. A Pistol which fires blobs of energy, and a disc, which has auto targeting and comes back to you, unless it get stuck in the wall and you have to walk over to it. You have 4 vision modes, standar, heat, electrical, and nightvision, the three later modes are excellent for decting humans, and aliens. You can also cloak your making you ALMOST invisible. Butit is only effective against humans aliens can still see you. You can also zoom in and out. You only have some much energy an addition to your health, your energy is what the pistol, medicomp, plasmacaster, and cloaking field use, your energy slowly regenerates itself in addition to powerups. As a predator you fight humans androids, xenborgs, Predaliens, facehuggers, aliens, praetorians, and the alien queen.

There are three different difficulty levels, at each level different elements are added to the game. It comes on two cds, you dont have to have the cd in to play it which is nice, but the second cd plays music better attributed to the levels. My only complaint was that you cant save in the middl eof a level so if you die you have to start that level all over again. But if you download the update you are alloted so many saves depending on the difficulty level.

Overall 5/5 this game provides the ultimate gaming expierience, in three different ways. I was amazed by graphics and AI. The game is challanging on the easiest difficulty. Note: Aliens Vs Predator Gold is now out, which adds a few more features. Both versions also require a 3d Accelarator.
