Takes the Guesswork Out of Cooking Rice

Pros: Safer than cooking rice on the stove top. Amateur cooks can now make good rice.

Cons: Leaves a wet mess on the counter top.

The Bottom Line: I recommend buying this if you have trouble making good rice on the stove top. It takes the guess-work out, and gives consistently good rice if you measure accurately.

Review: Before I had the Salton Rice Cooker I could not get the rice to come out right. Usually it was sticky and the wrong consistency. Plus I had to stand by the stove the whole time to make sure that the water didn't boil over and cause a kitchen fire! ...

Pros: Small enough for two people, cooks up to 3 cups, cooks perfect every time.

Cons: The tiny hole in the lid makes steam spray out and gets the area wet.

The Bottom Line: This is ideal for people who don't have to use a big pan to cook a small amount of rice. It's simple to use and cooks to perfection each time.
