Major flaw, otherwise immensely useful

Pros: Cheap to operate (2 AA per month) and buy. Palm OS, cradle.

Cons: Data loss with battery swap of anything not previously sync'ed.

Review: The bad: Every time I have to change the batteries (which I have learned to do in about 5 seconds) the data in the unit is lost. So you need to pay close attention to your battery level, and sync the data before you swap batteries. Sync frequently! ...

Fix Palm Memory Loss on Battery Change

Pros: Small, Light, Battery Life, Back-lit, OK Display, 8MB Memory

Cons: Memory Loss with Battery Change after a few years

The Bottom Line: Great value, if you can find one. Low cost, big memory, good gray-scale screen, gets the job done!

Review: OVERALL: A GREAT little PDA - I've had mine for at least 4 years now, and have NO reason to upgrade. The battery life isn't as good as the early Pilot 5000 which gave 3 months per set of AAA's, but the 6 weeks per set is far preferable to my wifes Palm ...
